Eden Church's motto is: A Family Rooted in Christ, Growing in Grace, and Living in Love

 

A Family Rooted in Christ... Eden Church is more than an organization; we are a family.  Our family relationship isn't dependent on any biological connection we share, but on each of us being connected by faith to Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of the World.  Our connection doesn't mean that we always agree on everything.  It means that because we belong to Jesus Christ we belong to each other and are called to love and support each other.  Whether we gather in large numbers on a Sunday morning or in small groups throughout the week, we are a family seeking to share the love of God with each other and with the world

 

A Family, Growing in Grace... We are part of God's family not because we are good or have proven ourselves worthy of God's love, but because of the incredible grace God has given to us through His Son Jesus Christ.

 

2 Peter 3:18 "...but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

 

At Eden Church we seek to create an environment of grace, of unearned loved, so that each of us can experience anew the grace of God in our lives and grow into the person that God has called us to be.

 

A Family, Living in Love... At Eden Church we realize and teach that the Christian life involves so much more than just Sunday morning activities.  As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to live all of life before the presence of God.  We believe that our duty to Christ and to our neighbors involves a commitment to offer our love to one another.  We love because God through Christ has loved us.

To reach out to the unchurched with the unconditional love of Jesus Christ... The mission of the Christian Church is to share the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ with all people regardless of their religious background and beliefs.  We do this by preaching the good news of Jesus Christ to those who do not believe in him as Lord and Savior.  We also do this by serving the needs of our neighbors within our community and within our world.

 

To guide people on their journey of faith... Eden Church serves as a guidepost for its members and for the wider community by proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ and by teaching the truth of the Bible in its worship services, in Sunday School, and in small group settings.  Eden seeks to be faithful in applying the teaching of the Bible to all areas of our common life.

 

To help people become responsible ministers in Christ's Church... At Eden Church we affirm that every member is a minister or servant of Christ.  We are each different in our gifts, interests and passions, yet together as a community we can accommodate each others' weaknesses and serve Christ most effectively.  We help our members in their spiritual growth so that they can best serve Christ in our Church and wider community.
